There’s a wide variety of homes in Washington Park, Cherry Creek, Bonnie Brae, and Belcaro.
Below are the most common types of properties in these neighborhoods.
Condos
The condominiums range in size from studios, 1-bedrooms, 2-bedrooms, 3-bedrooms, and penthouses. Most of condos are in Cherry Creek, but there’s a large complex (the Park Lane condominiums) on the northern edge of Washington Park.
Duplexes
Most of the duplexes are in Cherry Creek, and they’re large units (2,000+ square feet) that were built in after the 1990s. There are a limited number of smaller, older duplexes (600-1,000 square feet) sprinkled throughout Cherry Creek and Washington Park.
Townhomes
The vast majority of townhomes are in Cherry Creek, and they’re typically large (2,000+ square feet).
Bungalows
Bungalows can be found in Washington Park, Cherry Creek, Bonnie Brae, and Belcaro, and they’re typically 1,000-1,500 square feet.
Tudors
Tudors can be found in Washington Park, Cherry Creek, Bonnie Brae, and Belcaro, and they range in size from 1,200 square feet to 3,000 square feet.
Ranches
There are ranch-style homes in Washington Park, Cherry Creek, Bonnie Brae, and Belcaro, and they range in size from 1,000 square feet to 3,000 square feet.
Mid-Century Moderns
There are very few mid-century modern homes in the entire Denver metro area, but a small number can be found in Bonnie Brae and Belcaro.
Victorians
There are a limited number of Victorian-style homes, all of which are in Washington Park.
Pop-Tops
Pop-tops are homes that have added an additional story to an existing house (or a significant add-on to the first story), and these are primarily located in Washington Park and Bonnie Brae.
Patio Homes
A very limited number of patio homes (detached homes that are close together, with small backyards and side yards) are available the Cory-Merrill area, which is sometimes referred to as Belcaro.
Modern/Contemporary
There are modern homes throughout Washington Park, Cherry Creek, Bonnie Brae, and Belcaro. These contemporary homes were all custom-built, after older homes were scraped off the lots. They tend to be 3,000 square feet or bigger.
Mansions/Stately Homes
There are a number of stately homes and historic mansions, primarily along the 7th Avenue Parkway (which is just a few blocks north of Cherry Creek), in the Polo Grounds (which is between Bonnie Brae and Cherry Creek), in the Denver Country Club neighborhood (which is just west of Cherry Creek), and in Belcaro.
Gated Communities
There are only a handful of gated communities, including the Polo Grounds (which sits between Bonnie Brae and Cherry Creek), and they all have larger, more expensive homes.
55+ Communities
There are no 55+ communities in Washington Park, Cherry Creek, Bonnie Brae, or Belcaro.
New Builds/New Developments
The only new builds in Washington Park, Cherry Creek, Bonnie Brae, and Belcaro are custom-built homes. There are no new home developments in this area.
